Philip W. Shaltz is President and CEO of Shaltz Automation located in Flint, Michigan. Shaltz Automation is a leader in industrial automation dedicated to providing products and resources to increase manufacturing productivity in Michigan and Northern Ohio. He is responsible for financial and strategic oversight, supplier acquisition, and geographic expansion with focus on business diversification.

Mr. Shaltz is also Managing Partner of Valuepoint which is a company focused on inventory management and procurement strategies for large corporations. He is also one of the Managing Partners of Uptown Developments which started the redevelopment of downtown Flint in 2003.

PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND

Prior to joining Shaltz Automation, Phil worked for Carnation Company from 1972 to 1976. Phil joined his father in this new business venture in 1976 at the start of Shaltz Automation.

Phil has spent the last 44 years in the industrial sales business with heavy emphasis on auto related companies. Phil has used this knowledge and experience to form other companies with similar focuses.

EDUCATION/PERSONAL

Phil holds a bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University and graduated in 1970.

Phil is also the founder of The Flint Diaper Bank, and founder of the I’m Concerned About the Blueberries pay it forward program. Phil serves on the board of Hurley Medical Center, The Hurley Foundation, United Way, RLC member of the Flint and Genesee Chamber, Community Board Member of Huntington Bank and Board Emeritus of the Crim Foundation.
