The community of Portland, Michigan learned firsthand how powerful crowdsourcing can be

The community of Portland, Michigan learned firsthand how powerful crowdsourcing can be when they decided to build a pavilion for residents and visitors to enjoy. It sounded simple at first, but unforeseen challenges lay ahead of them including a devastating tornado that ripped through the town, sidelining the pavilion project until Portland regained footing. Despite this and other challenges, the pavilion was completed and has been a center for friendly activity since its completion... but there's much more to the story than just a happy ending.

In facing the unforeseen hurdles together, the people of Portland found that the strength and camaraderie they shared together could achieve more than they ever thought was possible.
