The Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) is hiring for the following State of Michigan position.

Pay Grade and Annual Salary: $34.12 - $50.12 per hour
Brief Job Description:
Serve as the specialist resource for archaeological expertise and policy within the State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO) and the State of Michigan. Carry out archaeological functions and advise local, state, and federal agencies, Tribes, organizations, and the public regarding Michigan archaeology. Manage the state’s archaeological data to preserve the state’s heritage for the benefit of its citizens.

This position is based at MEDC Headquarters in Lansing and may work a hybrid schedule with a minimum of 2 days of in-office work required.

Supervisor: Martha MacFarlane-Faes, Deputy State Historic Preservation Officer
Minimum Education Required:
Education
Possession of a bachelor's degree in archaeology or a field of anthropology.
Minimum Experience Required:
Experience
Four years of professional experience equivalent to an Archaeologist, including two years equivalent to an Archaeologist P11 or one year equivalent to an Archaeologist 12.
