Michigan is working around the clock to ensure our talent pipeline. In addition to incentive tools to support your talent recruitment, training and retention efforts, we have programs designed to help draw in and develop the talent companies like yours need.
- Michigan Achievement Scholarship (MAS): MAS is the state's largest investment in history towards free or heavily discounted college. Recent high school graduates can receive up to $5,500 per year to attend a higher education institution.
- Michigan Reconnect: Michigan Reconnect is a last-dollar scholarship program that pays for Michiganders to dive into the high-tech industries driving the state. Available to those 25 and older without an associate degree (with a temporary window for 21–24-year-olds), the program allows students to attend in-district community college tuition-free or offers a large tuition discount for out-of-district community college. Michigan Reconnect also includes a skills scholarship for industry-recognized certificates in career training.
- Michigan EV Jobs Academy: The Michigan EV Jobs Academy puts employers in the driver's seat to develop education and training solutions to meet the advanced automotive mobility and electrification industry's talent needs. With more than 100 partners, including employers, labor, industry stakeholders and education institutions, the collaboration drives the state's advanced mobility talent development into the future. Students receive assistance with tuition and supportive services to help ensure success and may also be able to earn while they learn with a registered apprenticeship.
