From rare and historic aircraft to inspiring artwork and exhibits, there's always something new to discover at the Air Zoo.

The Belle Isle Nature Zoo (BINZ) is located on the beautiful Belle Isle Park, which offers the perfect location for educational, environmental and natural experiences in the metro Detroit area. This also makes it possible for the BINZ to provide excellent educational experiences for schools, families and community groups.

Bringing your class to Binder Park Zoo is a great way to get your students out to experience nature. At the zoo they can learn about wildlife in natural settings, as well as, the importance of conservation. Your students will have fun and learn at the same time. Binder park also has a number of age specific Safari programs that allow students to see animals not on exhibit.

The Blandford Nature Center offers nature, environment, and outdoor related field trips

Chippewa Nature Center (CNC) offers science and history based programs for preschool to high school groups both at the nature center or "On the Road"--where we go to the school. The programs are geared to meet the curricular needs of the teacher while being engaging and interesting for the students. All of the programs are correlated to Michigan's Great Level Content Expectations. We have more than 40 program offerings, as well as "traveling trunks" for rent and educator workshops.

Circle Pines Center is a member-based, non-profit, 501(c)3 education and recreation center. We run a children's summer camp and year round retreat center with programs for families, children and adults. We also organize and host an annual music festival, the Buttermilk Jamboree, the second full weekend in June. The organization owns 294 acres of land with rolling hills, hardwood and pine forests, meadows and frontage on Stewart Lake. We have miles of trails for hiking and cross-country skiing, diverse wildlife and an organic garden and orchard.

Science-based/themed field trips opportunities are available at Cranbrook Institute of Science. Subjects include Anthropology & Social Studies, Astronomy & Space, Earth Science, Ecosystems & Water, Life Science, Bats & Nocturnal Animals, and Physical Science. The Institute also offers a diverse collection of cultural objects available for research purposes.

The Detroit Zoo offers an abundance of programs including programs such as It's a Wide, Wide World to The Web of Life, and to Zoo Habitat Design just to name a few. Classroom field trip programs are held indoors in a climate-controlled setting and are accessible for participants of all abilities.
