The Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) is hiring for the following Governor appointed position.

Job Title and Level: SVP & Chief Mobility Officer

City/County: Lansing or Detroit (Hybrid/Remote Option)

Type of Employment: Full-Time

Pay Grade and Annual Salary: Pay Grade 9: Grade 9 begins at $174,270 annually. Additional consideration may be given based on relevant skills, education, and experience.

The Senior Vice President & Chief Mobility Officer is responsible for the development and execution of strategies, policies, goals and objectives as they relate to the Office of Future Mobility and Electrification as outlined in Executive Order 2020-1. The position provides strategic oversight for The Office’s goals of increasing mobility investment in Michigan, engaging more mobility startups, expanding Michigan’s smart infrastructure, accelerating electric vehicle adoption in Michigan, enabling Michigan’s mobility workforce, and bolstering Michigan’s mobility manufacturing core.

This position serves as a key member of the MEDC and Michigan Department of Labor and Opportunity (LEO) leadership team to accomplish the strategic goals and objectives of the corporation.

This position has option to be located out of MEDC's Lansing or Detroit office with a hybrid/remote schedule.

Supervisor: Steve Bakkal, Chief Strategist, with oversight from Department of Labor & Economic Opportunity (LEO)

Minimum Education Required:

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, Accounting, Information Technology or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Minimum Experience Required:

This position requires a minimum of ten years related experience and/or training in business, sales management, business technology, technical sales, finance and investments, budget management, public policymaking, public speaking and/or project management.
