With the outbreak of COVID-19 and the related critical measures taken to reduce the impact of this public health emergency in Michigan, the State’s convention centers are facing significant negative economic impacts. In response, the State of Michigan has allocated up to $4,000,000 to the Michigan Strategic Fund (“MSF”) from the Convention Facility Development Fund to implement the Convention Center COVID-19 Relief Program (“Program”) for the purpose of awarding grants to convention centers negatively impacted by the COVID-19 virus and related measures to protect public safety.
