In her work as an occupational therapist, Heather Jose identified a need for a functional but subtle product to assist patients with sensory issues. With the help of CMURC, she developed the Theramazing weighted hat—a portable, inconspicuous and effective solution that helps individuals with sensory needs feel calmer and more focused.

Heather founded Theramazing and brought her product from concept to creation in the heart of the Great Lakes bay region. She began her entrepreneurial journey by first pitching her idea to the Central Michigan University Research Corporation, where she received the resources she needed to launch her startup. The Theramazing weighted hat allows students to stay in the classroom, or other social setting, while still having their sensory needs met. For more information, visit: https:wwwwtheramazingng.com/.
