MEDC Headquarters Fire Alarm System Replacement

The Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) seeks a qualified contractor to provide and install a fire alarm system replacement at its approximately 80,000 sq. ft. headquarters building located at 300 N. Washington Sq. in Lansing, MI. A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held in the main lobby at the facility on Monday, 6/1/2026 at 10:00 AM; vendors intending to attend must RSVP to contact listed.

Additional Information

The fire alarm system was installed during building renovations around the year 2000, and the MEDC seeks to upgrade this system. Stamped, approved drawings will be forwarded to attendees of the mandatory pre-bid meeting. The successful bidder will provide shop drawings including manufacturer's system riser with battery counts, voltage drop calculations, and audible levels on all devices for final AHJ approval prior to installation; and will provide as-built drawings upon system completion. Bidders will be required to provide references for projects of similar scope. Payment will be made through the State of Michigan's SIGMA financial management system, and successful bidder will need to have a vendor profile in that system.

  • Project length/timeline: Scheduled completion date by September 30, 2026
