Job Board Platform for Talent Attraction Initiative

This RFQ addresses our requirements for a partner organization with creative solution (software or a website) that will present Michigan job postings in a way that job seekers be able to easily find opportunities they are interested in (and are a good match for the skills, experience, education and certifications) and easily apply to those positions. This product will allow MEDC to collect data on the visitor, their path in the platform, and use this to develop additional resources and features to drive ongoing engagement with the users.

In October 2023, Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) launched the You Can in Michigan (YCIM) talent attraction and retention marketing campaign as part of a larger $59 million talent attraction and retention strategy. This campaign includes paid media, earned media, social media, and a website that supports users in understanding career and lifestyle opportunities available across Michigan's diverse regions and cities. One of the calls to action for the website is a Michigan Career Portal that supports users in navigating specific job opportunities that match with their unique skills set. The vision for this Portal is to continue to grow towards supporting users in directing to additional resources with an understanding of the geographic location and occupational areas of interest, whether those resources be within the Portal, on the YCIM website, or other partner pages and resources.

  • Project Length/Timeline: Start date: ASAP. Go live: August 1, 2024. Annual contract.
  • Budget/Range: $125,000 – $150,000 annual
