Small to Medium Manufacturer Support
The MEDC is seeking proposals from one or more bidders to provide technical assistance and advisory services that strengthen the productivity, technology adoption, and long-term competitiveness of Michigan’s small and medium-sized manufacturers (SMMs).
Background
This is a competitively bid RFP housed within the Small Business business unit, with an anticipated program allocation of up to $4,000,000.
Michigan’s small and medium-sized manufacturers (SMMs) are navigating a period of structural transformation across the U.S. industrial economy. A renewed emphasis on domestic manufacturing and industrial capacity is converging with shifting global supply chains, trade and policy uncertainty, rapid advances in automation and artificial intelligence, workforce and demographic pressures, higher capital requirements, and continued consolidation across manufacturing sectors.
