LANSING, Mich. – The Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) and Tim Hortons Cafe & Bake Shop are teaming up to host a live MiVirtualCareerFair event on June 26 from 10 am – 4 pm online and at participating restaurants around Michigan

“There are more than 50,000 jobs available in various industries on the Pure Michigan Talent Connect website, which connects Michigan employers to qualified talent as well as provides resources for job seekers,” said Joe Quick, Manager of Talent Programs, Michigan Economic Development Corporation. “Partnering with Tim Hortons is allowing us to extend these resources, including the virtual career fair, to job seekers that might not have had access to mitalent.org and help connect them with career opportunities throughout the state.”

MiVirtualCareerFair allows employers to connect with top talent and gives job seekers the opportunity to apply for dozens of available positions without the inconvenience and expense of traditional job fairs. Within MiVirtualCareerFair, employers host exhibitor booths that include links to job postings, company profiles, employee benefits, and employer contact information, and allow job seekers to communicate one-on-one with company representatives.

For the June 26 event, job seekers are encouraged to visit select Tim Horton Cafe & Bake Shop restaurants to take advantage of the various resources that will be available onsite, helping both Michigan residents and employers find and fill jobs.
