Below you will find materials that highlight many success stories showing the impact of our work together – success stories that would not have been a reality under the proposed cuts in the House and Senate budgets. 

Even worse, both proposals would divert the 21st Century Job Fund to other parts of state government, and the Senate proposes eliminating state funding for Pure Michigan, even as we celebrate the 20th anniversary of that campaign bringing visitors to our state. 

We need you to contact the state lawmakers who represent your region, especially if they are a member of the House or Senate majority caucuses or an Appropriations Committee member. See the below links, organized by Prosperity Region, for some examples of successes we’ve had in each region of the state. 

Here are some messages you can share with them:

• Economic development funding is critical to our state’s continued growth and success.
• That means fully funding the Business Attraction & Community Revitalization line in MEDC’s budget, which supports the Business Development Program, community development projects on our main streets, small business supports, and more.
• It also means support for the Pure Michigan campaign, driving tourism growth that adds tens of billions of dollars to Michigan’s economy each year.
