CURRENT FOCUS

Sue Schweim Tellier is the president and owner of JetCo Federal, a prime federal contractor serving the supply chain management and logistics spaces for DoD and other agencies. Since opening in 2007, JetCo Federal has gained a reputation for agile solution design and earned positive CPARS from federal agency clients. JetCo is a WBENC-certified woman-owned small business and is ISO 9001:2015 registered.

PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND

Prior to moving to the private sector in 2007, Sue worked in procurement marketing for the Michigan Department of Management and Budget (DMB). As DMB’s head of Supplier Diversity and Business Outreach, Sue trained more than 4,300 companies, teaching them how to bid on and win state government contracts.

Sue volunteers time to support the defense industrial base and is an advocate for small and woman-owned small businesses. She is the Vice Chair of Women in Defense and the Vice President of Women in Defense – Michigan Chapter. She is a long-time member of the National Defense Industrial Association and participates in the Logistics Division Meetings. Sue serves on the Leadership Advisory Council (LAC) for Women Impacting Public Policy (WIPP), and she says yes to each of their requests to moderate or present at educational or advocacy sessions for WIPP members.

EDUCATION/PERSONAL

Sue holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Public Affairs Management from Michigan State University and a Graduate Certificate in Economic Development from Wayne State University.
