If your company is planning on expanding and adding new jobs in the state of Michigan, the Michigan New Jobs Training Program (MNJTP) program can provide the flexible funding to meet an assortment of employee training and development needs specifically designed for your business. Designed as an economic development tool, MNJTP allows community colleges to provide free training for employers that are creating new jobs and/or expanding operations in Michigan.
The training for the newly hired workers is paid by capturing the state income tax associated with the new employees' wages.
This is a local program, meaning individual community colleges work directly with employers and local economic development to support job creation. There are no restrictions by industry or employer size.
