What started as a personal project to improve his own fishing experience turned into an exciting entrepreneurial journey for Travis White of ProNav Marine.

With help from MTec SmartZone in Houghton, Travis and his equally outdoorsy business partners created a high-tech marine products company that offers solutions for fishermen, by fishermen.

ProNav Angler uses GPS coordinates to keep a fishing boat in place and allows fisherman to no longer focus on piloting their boat, but rather solely on fishing. The ProNav Marine team began by putting together prototype as a personal interest and then worked with the MTec Smartzone to talk to potential consumers and bring the product to market.
