The program has three objectives:
Up to $15,000 in assistance is available to offset 75 percent of pre-approved expenses per fiscal year. The company will pay for the certification or software and MEDC will reimburse funds after receiving valid proof of payment. Companies must meet the following eligibility criteria to qualify for a PMBC grant:
PMBC Access and Certification Grant is not eligible to support Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification, cybersecurity or National Institute of Standards and Technology certification. MEDC’s International Trade MI-STEP Grant program considers industrial certifications (ISO9001 and AS9100, etc.) intending to be used to respond to international purchasing opportunities as an eligible expense and would be a better fit for companies seeking those certifications. Grantees must be able to determine the economic impact of this support quarterly for at least 24 months after receiving the grant funds.
