Diane Rekowski is the Executive Director of the Northeast Michigan Council of Governments (NEMCOG) an Economic Development Administration (EDA) funded Economic Development District. Over the past 24 years, she has been responsible for overall administration and program development for the 8 member counties and most recently, 11 County Regional Prosperity Region. Programs and services include: Region 3: CDC Facilitator, Region 3: Regional Prosperity Collaborative, Regional Comprehensive Economic & Community Development, Environmental Planning and Management, Regional Transportation Planning, Community Planning & Zoning, Solid Waste Planning & Management, Recreation Planning, Regional GIS Center, Community Corrections Programs & Services and Hazard Mitigation Planning.
Diane has served on Statewide Council/Advisory Committees throughout her tenure and has steadfastly pursued programs and services for the betterment of the region.
Diane holds a bachelors of science degree in Environmental Health from Ferris State University.
