Wafa Dinaro is the Executive Director of the Economic Development Corporation for the County of Wayne, Michigan. Her responsibilities include the oversight and execution of Wayne County’s economic development initiatives including the Business Attraction program, Business Retention and Expansion program, small business, and entrepreneurial support.
Wafa brings a wide range of experience to her role with Wayne County. She has held a variety of other positions in the private and public sector over the years and is especially passionate about the partnership of business and government. Her professional background includes project management, community development, strategic planning and communication. In addition to her private sector work in the automotive industry prior to working with the County, Wafa led operations for the Department of Defense while assigned to Defense Attache Offices in U.S Embassies around the world.
Wafa graduated from Georgetown University in 2012, magna cum laude with a master’s degree and the University of Michigan in 2004, cum laude with her bachelor’s.
