Medical Device Manufacturer Chooses Michigan for $12.4 Million Investment
Governor Jennifer M. Granholm today announced The Tech Group Grand Rapids Inc. will invest $12.4 million to upgrade its custom injection molding facility in Walker to manufacture a new product line. The project will create 164 new jobs, including 105 directly by the company. Assistance offered by the Michigan Economic Development Corporation helped convince the company to choose Michigan instead of competing national and international sites.
The Tech Group Grand Rapids expansion is one of nine economic development projects the Governor announced today. In all, they are expected to create and retain a total of 1,009 Michigan jobs.
