The Minute Maid Company produces and distributes juices and other non-carbonated beverage products.Due to an increase in sales, Minute Maid will expand its existing manufacturing operation in Paw Paw.Construction of the new production lines would begin in June 2000. “The Minute Maid Company's operations in Michigan are fortunate in three ways — we have a growing business, a capable and dedicated group of associates, and a state that truly supports our operations,” said Rick Montague, manager of the Paw Paw facility.“That’s reflected at the township level, where the Paw Paw area is a great place to live and work. It’s also reflected at the state level, where the grants and credits we’ve received have been a key factor in our ability to continue to grow at Paw Paw.”MEGA, which is administered by the Michigan Economic Development Corporation, is used to promote high quality economic growth and job creation in Michigan that would not occur without this program. “Paw Paw Township appreciates the efforts of the State of Michigan and Van Buren County in the promotion of economic growth in Southwest Michigan,” said Patricia Peters, Paw Paw Township treasurer.“The tax relief programs available to local businesses have been the incentive for The Minute Maid Company, and other manufacturing companies to remain or come to our area of Michigan.”
