Listings Demonstrate Industry's Momentum in Michigan
The Michigan Economic Development Corporation today unveiled its first Michigan Life Sciences Directory
- Up to $100 million in state funds in 2006 for life sciences research and commercialization;
- Michigan SmartZones which provide wet lab facilities and flexible incubator space to help entrepreneurs turn research into commercial products and services;
- More than $65 million in state funds invested in the Core Technology Alliance, a unique infrastructure of shared facilities and equipment available to scientists, entrepreneurs and companies.
MichBIO, a non-profit organization dedicated to driving the growth of the life sciences industry in Michigan, combined MEDC information with other industry sources to create the new directory.
The Michigan Economic Development Corporation, a partnership between the state and local communities, promotes smart economic growth by developing strategies and providing services to create and retain good jobs and a high quality of life.
