Pure Michigan store searches for contractor

LANSING – The Michigan Economic Development Corporation issued a Request for Proposal seeking a contractor to partner in its e-commerce Website, puremichiganstore.com, which sells merchandise carrying the Pure Michigan brand with electronic proposal submissions due on Monday, January 23, 2012.

“The Pure Michigan brand has been an extraordinary success and today is in great demand for apparel and consumer products,” said MEDC President and CEO Michael A. Finney. “We have spread the word of our state across the Great Lakes but have only just begun to touch people across the nation. We need a partner to build on our momentum and increase our capabilities to help consumers find, purchase and enjoy Pure Michigan branded products.”

According to the 24-page RFP, it is designed to provide potential bidders with sufficient information to submit a proposal that meets the MEDC’s minimum requirements, but the minimum requirements contained in this RFP are not intended to limit the proposal’s content or exclude any information the bidder feels is relevant or essential to their bid.
