
MEDC Issues Request for Proposals for Tourism, Business Marketing Campaigns

Request for Proposals (RFP)seeking one or two advertising agencies to develop and execute marketing campaigns for the state’s tourism and business development activities
LANSING --The Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) today issued a Request for Proposals (RFP)seeking one or two advertising agencies to develop and execute marketing campaigns for the state’s tourism and business development activities.
Agencies may bid for one or both of the campaigns, but must submit separate proposals for each. Bidders for the tourism portion must submit proposals for media budgets of $20 million, $30 million and $40 million. Those bidding for the business development contract must submit proposals for media budgets of $5 million, $7.5 million and $10 million. Preference will be given to contractors that have a significant business presence in Michigan.
The term for the contracts will run from October 1, 2009 through September 30, 2010.Agency proposals are due at MEDC offices in Lansing no later than March 30, 2009 at 5 p.m. The Request for Proposals is available online at www.MichiganBusiness.org/public-notices-rfps along with specifics on the application process. Prospective bidders are invited to submit questions via email to contracts&grants@michigan.org as instructed in the RFP. Emailed questions must be received no later than 5 p.m. on March 4. All questions and answers will be posted online at the MEDC’s Web site no later than March 9.
