The Arthur Secunda Museum celebrates the life and work of one of Michigan’s most accomplished artists. Arthur Secunda is an internationally renowned artist whose art career began in Detroit, Michigan more than 65 years ago. His one-man shows have been seen in numerous galleries and museums in Europe, North America and Asia.

Delivering Discovery for 40 years Artrain, a nonprofit arts organization, has delivered world class arts and cultural exhibitions and education programs to under-resourced communities throughout the United States. Winner of the National Medal for Museum Service, Artrain's mission is to use the power of arts and culture to transform lives, organizations and communities. Originally using America's rail system to deliver art exhibitions, Artrain now delivers cultural outreach programs to people in villages, towns and cities everywhere through a variety of methods including mobile touring exhibitions and cultural education and engagement programs. Since its founding in 1971, more than 3.2 million people have visited Artrain during more than 850 community visits across the nation.

Arts and Scraps offers group field trips:Up to 50 students ages 3 and up, 1 ½ to 2 hours; 5 interactive stations for hands-on curriculum activities, create 2 take-home projects, one customized to your theme and shop, filling a 5" x 7" x 11" bag in our store, choosing from 300+ items.

Automotive Hall of Fame

Dearborn Wayne

At the Automotive Hall of Fame students view a short video introducing the Automotive Hall of Fame, then they partake in an interactive demonstration about sources of power for automobiles. In groups, students will take part in an age appropriate scavenger hunt. Finally, they will view another interactive demonstration about automotive safety.

Avatar Design House & Knowmad Gallery

Bloomfield Twp. Oakland

Avatar Design House provides high-end products and services for a wide range of clients throughout Metro Detroit and Southeastern Michigan. Knowmad Gallery fine art offerings include photography, digital scans and mixed media pieces. Avatar Design House focuses on commercial art services and design consultation rooted in sustainability. Both run from a fully outfitted digital studio and workshop. Our space was remodeled to create one of the most sustainable residences in Michigan.

We offer tours of the in-home Knowmad Gallery with introduction to sustainable design, modern architecture and mid-century style ranch home/gallery. Tour also includes full view of the Avatar Digital Photography Lab; equipped with large format printing equipment, top of the line computers, full work stations, ect. Students would receive brief lessons on color calibration and fine art digital printing.

Bay City Players, located in Bay City, Michigan, is a community of performers and other volunteers that offers exciting, intimate and relevant theatre experiences. We believe in the power and immediacy of a great performance. Our dedication to that principle is how we’ve become Michigan’s longest continuously operating community theater, nearing our 100th anniversary.

Bay Mills-Brimley Historical Research Society

Brimley Chippewa

Trains rolled through Brimley from 1887 until 1961.
A railroad trestle across Waishka Bay connected Brimley with the now nonexistent milltown of Bay Mills with daily passenger train service between Sault Ste. Marie and Bay Mills. Trains brought logs to Mills in Bay Mills and carried away lumber.

Beaumier U.P. Heritage Center – Northern Michigan University

The Beaumier Upper Peninsula Heritage Center is a historical museum and educational facility on the campus of Northern Michigan University. The mission of the U.P. Heritage Center is to promote and preserve the history and culture of the Upper Peninsula through an active slate of exhibitions and engaging public programs for the whole region. The center also collects and preserves artifacts related to the history of Northern Michigan University. The center maintains a gallery in 105 Cohodas Hall and several other displays throughout campus.
