The Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) is conducting an internal/external recruitment process to fill the following corporate vacancy:

Type of Employment: Full-Time
Pay Grade and Annual Salary: Pay Grade 5: Grade 5 begins at $86,625 annually. Additional consideration may be given based on relevant skills, education, and experience.

The Real Estate Development Manager drives high potential real estate development site identification efforts through assessment of physical development potential, including review of site studies and current and potential utilities and other infrastructure; works with the real estate team to develop a robust state inventory of investment ready sites; assists in the creation of site marketing material; and performs other activities related to creating, maintaining and advancing strategic site readiness for the MEDC.
This position coordinates various professional experts related to site development, identifies barriers and gaps in a site’s readiness and makes recommendations for how to address challenges. Position works closely with utility companies and all infrastructure contributors, including external, local Economic Development Organizations, state and federal agencies and works as a key team member to proactively identify development ready sites and respond to new company attraction needs in support of strategic site readiness.
This position will be based out of Lansing, MI with the ability to work a remote/hybrid schedule

Minimum Education Required:
This position requires a Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in Real Estate, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and
Minimum Experience Required:
This position requires a minimum of four to six years of related experience in real estate acquisition and real estate development management with direct experience in managing large projects
from conception to execution. Experience with GIS programs, Microsoft Project and Smartsheet preferred.
