Type of Employment: Full-Time
Pay Grade and Annual Salary: Pay Grade 3 begins at $26.47 per hour. Additional compensation consideration given based on relevant skills, education and experience.

The Program Specialist position for Research & Innovation is responsible for supporting the Pure Michigan Business Connect (PMBC) buyer-supplier matchmaking initiatives, with an emphasis on supporting supplier matchmaking data, processes and tracking results. The Program Specialist will achieve this by researching and building long-term relationships with Michigan companies and regional public partners (universities, associations, service providers, etc.) to support and accelerate the buyer/seller matchmaking process. Matchmaking assignments will involve procurement, innovation or joint venture opportunities. Research will also involve working with both domestic and global corporate clients across industries. This position will also assist and cross support all of the other core activities in the PMBC initiative and also the MEDC business retention and growth team.

Minimum Education Required:
This position requires a Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in Business Administration, Economic Development, Engineering/Supply Chain; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum Experience Required:
This position requires a minimum of two to four years of related experience and/or training in economic development and/or project management. Previous experience working on projects that involve Michigan manufacturing suppliers is preferred.
