The Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) is hiring for the following corporate position.
Job Title and Level: MEDC Corporate Compliance Specialist
City/County: Lansing / Ingham (Hybrid/Remote)
Type of Employment: Full Time
Pay Grade and Annual Salary: Pay grade 3 begins at $28.94/hourly. Additional compensation consideration given based on relevant skills, education and experience.
Brief Job Description:
The Compliance Specialist assists with the compliance activities related to various current programs administered by the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) and the Michigan Strategic Fund (MSF) including the 21st Century Jobs Fund, , the Michigan Community Revitalization Program (MCRP), and the Revitalization and Placemaking (RAP) Program as well as legacy loan, grant and tax credit programs. Monitors and coordinates internal compliance processes for assigned programs; creates and manages reports using Salesforce; serves as a contact to awardees, as well as providing internal and external customer support.

Minimum Education Required:
This position requires a bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in business administration or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum Experience Required:
This position requires a minimum of two to four years of related experience and/or training, in processing data and interpreting legislative or other legalistic requirements, administrative support, preferably in economic development and/or government administration, or experience administering similar economic development grant programs; and/or experience in grant processing, project underwriting and knowledge of contracts and property law; and experience with word processing, spreadsheet, database, and calendaring software. Salesforce experience preferred.
