Financial Analyst

The Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) is hiring for the following corporate position.

Job Title and Level: Financial Analyst

City/County: Lansing/Ingham (Hybrid/Remote)

Type of Employment: Full-Time

Pay Grade and Annual Salary: Level 3 pay grade starts at $60,200 annually. Additional consideration given based on knowledge and experience.

This Financial Analyst manages asset programs (Loan, Equity, CAP, Collateral and Participation) via subsidiary ledgers, performs analytical review of account balances, and monitors financial data for the Michigan Economic Development Corporation/Michigan Strategic Fund.  This financial analyst is responsible for performing reconciliations of all asset programs on a monthly basis by established deadlines, reconciling subsidiary ledgers to our financial accounting system, communicating with lending institutions regarding financial transactions for collateral and participation programs, and participating in year-end accounting activities.

Supervisor: Patrick Holien, Manager, Finance Reporting (Loans and Investments)

Minimum Education Required:

This position requires a Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university in Accounting, Business, Finance, Economics or related field. 

Minimum Experience Required:

This position requires a minimum of two to four years related experience and/or training in financial or accounting functions.  Experience in a financial institution is preferred; experience with financial software applications is also preferred.
