Equity Capital Program Manager

The Michigan Economic Corporation (MEDC) is hiring for the following corporate position.

Job Title and Level: Equity Capital Program Manager

City/County: Lansing/Ingham (Hybrid/Remote)

Type of Employment: Full-Time

Pay Grade and Annual Salary: Pay Grade 4 begins at $74,800. Additional consideration may be given based on relevant skills, education, and experience.

The Equity Capital Program Manager builds and maintains relationships with the investment community, stakeholder groups, businesses, and other partners and constituents as necessary. This position acts as a subject matter expert on business capital structure. Explores and implements new opportunities to build programs to support gaps in the capital continuum.

Supervisor: Fred Molnar, SVP Entrepreneurship & Innovation

Minimum Education Required:

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university in Finance, Business, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  MBA preferred.

Minimum Experience Required:

Four to six years of of demonstrated ability and/or experience in the following:  advanced knowledge in venture capital funding and investments and Angel investments and laws associated with each; established relationships within Michigan investment community; engaging in complex portfolio management; serving as a resource, mentor, and coach to other staff and assisting in the training and development of newly hired and existing staff; acting as a primary point of contact and resource for other MEDC staff, local partners, consultants, and Michigan businesses with regard to early stage funding programs.
