The Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) is conducting an internal search for the following position.

Job Title and Level: Director, People Services

City/County: Lansing/Ingham (Remote/Hybrid)

Type of Employment: Full Time

Pay Grade and Annual Salary: Pay grade 6 $105,600 - $152,960

Brief Job Description:

The Director of People Servies oversees and directs the People Services team and is focused on exceptional employee service and customer centricity. This position directs all state and corporate People Service functions for the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC), including but not limited to payroll, benefits, HR/PS training, and organizational recruitment/retention efforts. This positions serves as a member of the Administrative Operations leadership team.

Supervisor: Lynne Feldpausch, EVP - Chief Administrative Officer

Minimum Education Required:

Education:  This position requires a Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university in Human Resources, Business or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Minimum Experience Required:

Experience:  This position requires a minimum five to seven years of related experience and/or training in employee services/human resource management, which includes experience in compensation systems, payroll, employment recruiting, benefits, and employee relations.

Professional Human Resources certification (PHR, SPHR) preferred.
