The Michigan Economic Corporation (MEDC)is hiring for the following corporate position.

Job Title and Level: DEI Liaison

City/County: Lansing/Ingham (Hybrid/Remote)

Type of Employment: Full-Time

Pay Grade and Annual Salary: Pay grade 4: Grade 4 begins $74,800. Additional consideration may be given based on relevant skills, education, and experience.

The DEI Liaison will work across teams to develop, support, implement and champion diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives within the State of Michigan.  The position will provide public outreach to historically underserved populations and geographically disadvantaged areas across the state.  This role will work closely with stakeholders, community groups, not for-profit organizations, and business leaders to ensure wide access to MEDC programs and services.  The DEI Liaison will also serve as the organization’s Title II ADA coordinator and language access coordinator.

Supervisor: Aileen Bovan, SVP, Diversity, Equity and Inclusivity Officer

Minimum Education Required:

This position requires a bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in Business, Administration, Cultural Studies, Human Resources, or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Minimum Experience Required:

This position requires a minimum of three to five years of related experience and/or training in DEI initiatives, cultural diversity, organizational management, human resources, human rights/employment law, or similar. Project Management experience preferred.
