The Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) is conducting a recruitment process to fill the following corporate vacancy:

Job Title and Level: Semiconductor, Innovation and Investment Executive

City/County: Lansing/Ingham (Hybrid/Remote)

Type of Employment: Full-Time

Pay Grade and Annual Salary: Pay Grade 8: Grade 8 begins at $134,235 annually. Additional consideration may be given based on relevant skills, education, and experience.

Develop and execute a strategy to land semiconductor industry investments in Michigan as part of the state of Michigan’s ‘Make It In Michigan’ economic development strategy focused on People, Places and Projects. A key element of the Projects part of the ‘Make It In Michigan’ is competing for and winning more opportunities across specific focus sectors. The semiconductor value chain is one the state’s focus areas for deploying financial and programmatic resources. Lead, optimize, collaborate on and deploy the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) sector development strategy and activities for growing the semiconductor industry in Michigan.

This position may work a hybrid (remote/in-office) schedule. Selected candidates who have been approved to work a hybrid schedule must complete that work within Michigan. Candidates should confirm work location and schedule at the time of interview.    

 

Business Unit: Business Attraction & Projects

Supervisor: To Be Determined

Minimum Education Required:

This position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related industry-specific field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Minimum Experience Required:

This position requires a minimum of ten years related experience and/or training in the assigned industry, management, business, business technology, technical sales, public speaking and/or project management. Applicant should have relevant semiconductor industry experience; an advanced understanding of the industry including its segments, technology nodes, business trends; and substantial contacts.
