Regional Prosperity Initiative

Michigan has earned the title of America’s comeback state. It’s an economic success story that would not be possible without collaboration by the public, private and nonprofit sectors. Our shared accomplishments underscore the need to work in partnership toward a common vision of economic prosperity.

What is the Regional Prosperity Initiative?

The Regional Prosperity Initiative was established in 2013 to help accelerate the state's economy and improve the quality of life for Michiganders by more effectively leveraging resources at a regional level. Regional planning and collaboration supported by responsive state services are critical to economic growth in Michigan. For more details, click here

Prosperity Regions and MEDC

MEDC has assigned Business Development Managers to each prosperity region. These Business Development Managers provide personalized business assistance and can help businesses across the state access the resources they need to be successful.
