Chief Business Development Officer & Executive Vice President
Josh Hundt is the Interim Chief Business Development Officer & Executive Vice President with the Michigan Economic Development Corporation. Mr. Hundt currently oversees the organization’s business development teams responsible for project management, business financing and incentives, and Defense Industry Programs. In this role, Mr. Hundt is responsible for policy development and implementation as well as management of various incentives administered by the organization. Mr. Hundt is committed to the MEDC’s goals of more jobs, more investment and higher wages, and assists by retaining and growing Michigan businesses by ensuring they have the tools necessary expand.
Mr. Hundt has ten years of experience in economic development and has extensive knowledge of statewide economic development incentives, including the Michigan Business Development Program, Michigan Business Growth Fund – Loan Participation and Collateral Support Programs, Private Activity Bonds, Capital Access Program, various job training and talent attraction programs Community Development Block Grants, State Essential Services Assessment Exemption, Michigan Advanced Battery Credits Program, MEGA, and Brownfield programs, and Michigan’s Protect & Grow Strategy.
Mr. Hundt holds a Masters of Public Administration from Western
Michigan University and is a graduate of Hope College.
