Through this Request for Proposals (RFP) for Entrepreneurial Support Services, the Michigan Strategic Fund (MSF) Board desires to allocate up to $12 million, disbursed over 2 to 3 years, to non-profit organizations that provide specialized support services to assist companies and institutions in commercializing competitive-edge technologies, building successful, innovative businesses with the potential for high-growth and job retention and promoting a culture of entrepreneurship in Michigan.
Timeline for RFP:
April 27, 2011: MSF Board approval and release of final Entrepreneurial Support Services RFP.
May 13, 2011, 5:00 p.m. EST: Applicant questions due via email to firstname.lastname@example.org. Please note: The Michigan Strategic Fund Board (MSF Board) or the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) staff will not respond to questions that are not received by the above date and time. In addition, questions that are phoned, faxed, sent through regular mail, or emailed directly to staff will not be accepted.
May 20, 2011, 5:00 p.m. EST: Responses to all qualifying questions will be posted periodically on this web page (www.michiganadvantage.org/2011EntrepreneurialServicesRFP) and potential applicants are encouraged to check frequently for responses to qualifying questions.
June 3, 2011, 5:00 p.m. EST: Proposals in the form of a business plan must be received by the MSF Board via the MEDC Client Portal for SalesForce located at www.michiganadvantage.org/2011EntrepreneurialServicesRFP.
June 6 – July 1, 2011 Review Period: An independent peer review will be conducted. Applicants should plan to be available for face to face interviews with the peer review panel during this period if selected to proceed.
July 27, 2011: Award decisions expected to be announced.
