Company to Invest $6.3 Million, Create 180 New Jobs

Governor Jennifer M. Granholm today announced that Signa Group Inc., d/b/a Whitehall Industries, plans to invest $6.3 million to expand its Ludington and PereMarquette Charter Township facilities in Mason County.

MEDC President and CEO James C. Epolito said.

An economic analysis conducted by the MEDC estimates that increased economic activity created by the expansion will generate an additional 80 indirect Michigan jobs, in addition to the 100 created directly by the company. The project is expected to generate

The Whitehall Industries expansion is one of seven economic development projects the governor announced today. In all, they are expected to create and retain 2,868 Michigan jobs.

Founded in 1974 in Whitehall, Michigan,Whitehall Industries provides precision, machined and fabricated aluminum extrusions to various markets including the automotive, office furniture and medical industries. Its two Michigan facilities currently employ 291 workers.
