Companies Investing $7.8 Million in Southfield and Oak Park
Governor Jennifer M. Granholm today announced that Azura Dynamics, Credit Acceptance Corporation and MARS Advertising Price Logic will expand their operations in Oakland County as a result of assistance from the Michigan Economic Development Corporation. Combined, the expansions are expected to create 1,552 new jobs and involve more than $7.8 million in capital investment. Each company chose Michigan over competing sites in other states.
The three projects announced today:
- Azure Dynamics Corporation:
- Credit Acceptance Corporation:A state tax credit valued at more than $4.6 million over seven years convinced the company to invest in Michigan over competing out-of-state sites. The city of Southfield will consider a three-year tax abatement valued at approximately $144,000 to further support the project.
- MARS Advertising Prize Logic LLC:
The expansions are three of eight economic development projects the governor announced today. In all, they are expected to create a total of 3,512 Michigan jobs.
