ForeSee Results plans to locate new headquarters in Southeast Michigan

Governor Jennifer M. Granholm today announced that Ann Arbor-based ForeSee Results Inc., a company that uses online voice of customer data to help organizations around the globe increase sales, loyalty and Web site value, is looking to expand its operations in Michigan and locate its new North American headquarters in Southeast Michigan over competing sites on the East and West coasts. With assistance offered through the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC), the company plans to invest approximately $6.6 million in the project that is expected to create up to 638 Michigan jobs, including 275 directly by the company.

“ForeSee Results is an innovative company born in Michigan that we want to help grow and expand here,” Granholm said. “High tech companies like this are critical to our efforts to diversity Michigan's economy in the 21st century.”

Based on the MEDC’s recommendation, the Michigan Economic Growth Authority board today approved a state tax credit valued at $3.2 million over seven years to win the company’s expansion. The company is considering sites in Wayne, Oakland and Washtenaw counties.

“ForeSee Results’ decision to stay and expand in Michigan sends a clear signal to the rest of the world that Michigan is a great place for high-tech companies to do business,” MEDC President and CEO James C. Epolito said. “We applaud their commitment to Michigan.”

An economic analysis conducted by the MEDC estimates that increased economic activity created by the new facility will create 363 indirect Michigan jobs, in addition to the 275 created directly by the company. The project is expected to generate more than $264 million in personal income for Michigan workers over the life of the tax credit.

“Although we’re an international company, we were born and bred here in Ann Arbor, and we’re thrilled to be able to renew our commitment to the state and to the local economy,” said Larry Freed, president and CEO of ForeSee Results. “Our history combined with the exceptional local talent, booming tech industry and great Universities make Michigan the perfect place for us to headquarter our North American operations.”
