  • a nonrefundable SBT credit for companies certified by the Michigan NextEnergy Authority as having qualified business activity;
  • exempting from personal property tax, alternative energy systems and alternative energy vehicles, the personal property of alternative energy technology businesses, and personal property of businesses that is used solely for the purpose of researching, developing, or manufacturing alternative energy technologies; and
  • a refundable SBT credit equal to the personal income tax generated by the payroll of companies located in the NextEnergy Zone.
