U.P. seminars to feature Gen. Lott of Michigan’s defense contract center
During his military career, General Lott commanded the Marine Corps Logistics Command, which is responsible for world-wide supply chain management including multi-commodity maintenance depot operations and logistics IT program development.Now an entrepreneur, General Lott is owner and founder of TrueNorth Logistics LLC, a logistics consulting firm specializing in industrial logistics and federal government purchasing.
Patrick Bubin, director of the Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) in Traverse City will also present information. PTACs are not-for-profit organizations funded by the Defense Logistics Agency, the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) and local funding partners.The centers offer marketing, consulting and training assistance to businesses. The PTACs are helping Michigan build a broad base of federal contractors, especially in the defense industry.
