The company plans to invest approximately $8.4 million in new the new facility. The expansion will result in the creation of up to 383 new jobs for Michigan workers.

“The fact that Inalfa chose Michigan for this expansion shows that Genesee County is able to compete and attract top-notch expansion projects,” said Sabrina Keeley, acting CEO of the Michigan Economic Development Corporation. “By working closely with local economic development partners, we were able to convince this company to grow and invest in our state.”

An MEDC incentive package, including an employment tax credit valued at approximately $1.9 million over 10 years, helped convince Inalfa to expand its assembly operations in Michigan rather than Oklahoma.

“We are excited about the growth of our company and pleased to have had the cooperation of the Flint-Genesee Economic Growth Alliance and the state of Michigan to make this investment in our new facility possible,” said Doug Rizzi, vice president of operations for Inalfa.

According to an economic analysis conducted by the University of Michigan, it is estimated that the Inalfa project will generate a total of 383 jobs in the state by 2013, including up to 161 directly by the company.

The project will provide an estimated $14.2 million in revenue gain to the state over the life of the credit, resulting in a net gain for the state of more than $12.3 million. The project is expected to generate more than $185 million in personal income during that time.
