Auto Parts Manufacturer Chooses Michigan for $26.8 Million Investment
Governor Jennifer M. Granholm today announced Hi-Lex Controls Inc. will invest $26.8 million to expand its operations in Hudson and Litchfield. The project will create 395 new jobs, including 208 directly by the company. Assistance offered through the Michigan Economic Development Corporation helped convince the company to choose Michigan instead of a competing site in Ohio.
The Hi-Lex Controls expansion is one of nine economic development projects the Governor announced today. In all, they are expected to create and retain a total of 1,009 Michigan jobs.
