Michael Shore, MEDC
High-Tech Company Will Employ Michigan Engineers and Scientists
and create 299 new jobs. Assistance offered through the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) helped convince the company to choose Michigan instead of a competing site in California.
An economic analysis conducted by the MEDC estimates that the expansion will generate more than $47.6 million in personal income for Michigan workers over the life of the tax credit.
The Landon IP project is one of five economic development projects the Governor announced today. In all, they are expected to create a total of 1,044 Michigan jobs.
Lewis N. Walker, president of Lawrence Technological University, said Landon IP will have ready access to the engineering talent it needs.
