Federal Funds OK’d for Needed Infrastructure Improvements
In March, the company announced it would invest in the new Michigan plant in part as a result of a state tax credit supported by the MEDC.
ThomasTownship will use the CDGB grant to replace an existing pumping station at South River and Stroebel roads and make other needed improvements in the water delivery system.
The MEDC is able to award approximately $40 million in federal CDBG funds each year. There are 1,655 local governments within the state eligible to apply for these funds. Projects are approved contingent upon compliance with state and federal requirements.
