Governor Jennifer M. Granholm today announced the award of a brownfield tax incentive to facilitate the expansion of Heat Controller Inc. in Jackson. The project is expected to involve more than $1.7 million in private investment and create 10 new jobs.
In January 2006, the project was approved to utilize state and local tax capture valued at $199,175 to demolish the existing structures and prepare the property for redevelopment.
Headquartered in Jackson, Heat Controller distributes contract-manufactured residential and commercial heating and cooling equipment including furnaces, air conditioners and heat pumps.
