Governor Jennifer M. Granholm today announced a brownfield tax incentive to support the redevelopment of a former gas station located on the River Raisin in downtown Dundee. The mixed-use project is expected to involve more than $2.5 million in private investment and create more than 50 new jobs.
The developer, Dundee Riverfront LLC, will use a brownfield Single Business Tax credit valued at $250,000 to demolish and decontaminate the former service station located at 298 Monroe Street and construct a mixed-use development to include four residential and six commercial condominium units. The 20,000-square-foot commercial portion of the project will comprise three of the four floors and the top floor will house the-1,700-square-foot residential units.
