Governor Appoints Two MEDC Boards

Michigan Economic Development Corporation Executive CommitteeTwo individuals were appointed and two others were reappointed to the Committee, which exercises the powers of the Michigan Economic Development Corporation. All four terms expire April 5, 2008.Mathew P. Cullen, of Grosse Pointe Shores, is general manager of General Motors EAG Enterprises. He is appointed to replace Stephen Ewing, of Dearborn, and to represent the general public.Philip H. Power, of Ann Arbor, is chairman of HomeTown Communications Network. He is appointed to replace Beth Chappell, of Bloomfield Hills, and to represent the general public.James P. Hackett, of Grand Rapids, is president and CEO of Steelcase, Inc. He is reappointed to represent the general public.Birgit Klohs, of Grand Rapids, is executive director of The Right Place Program. She is reappointed to represent the general public.Michigan Economic Development Corporation Corporate BoardOne individual was appointed to the Board, which authorizes and approves the annual audit and evaluates the performance of the Michigan Economic Development Corporation pursuant to standards established by the Executive Committee and may review acts of the Executive Committee, as deemed necessary.Richard Dean Wilcox, of Cadillac, is president and chief executive officer of Wilcox Associates, Inc.
