Road and Streetscape Project to Improve Fourth Avenue District
LakeOdessa. Officials from the Michigan Economic Development Corporation and Michigan Department of Transportation presented ceremonial checks to village officials at a celebration event today.
State Transportation Director Kirk Steudle added: "MDOT is pleased to work with MEDC and our partners in Lake Odessa on a project that will bolster economic development and result in improvements that businesses and residents will benefit from."
The MEDC is able to award approximately $40 million in federal CDBG funds each year. There are 1,655 local governments within the state eligible to apply for these funds. Projects are approved contingent upon compliance with state and federal requirements.
