Pure Michigan Business Connect partnered with Chrysler Group LLC, Ford Motor Company and General Motors to host an invite-only supplier summit on July 22nd, 2014. The summit featured procurement representatives and subject matter experts from the Detroit Three automakers and over 40 of their tier one partners looking to connect with qualified Michigan companies. Buyers included American Axle & Manufacturing, Autoliv, Barton Malow, BASF, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan, BorgWarner, Bosch, Challenge Manufacturing, Chrysler, Comau, Continental, Cooper-Standard, Dana Corporation, Delphi, Denso, Fanuc, Faurecia, Flextronics, Ford, Gestamp North America, GKN Driveline, General Motors, Goodyear, Grupo Antolin, Henniges, IAC Group, Inergy Automotive, Johnson Controls, Kautex Textron, Kelly Services, KUKA Systems, Lear, Linamar, Magna International, Miniature Precision Components, Mitsubishi, MSX International, NGK Spark Plugs, NTN Bearings, PGW, PPG, Takata, TRW Automotive, Valeo, Walbridge and Yazaki. Nearly 1,000 companies applied for the event, resulting in 789 individual meetings scheduled between buyers and suppliers.

On March 26th, 2014 Pure Michigan Business Connect partnered with the Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development to host the Pure Michigan Agriculture Summit. This was the first time that PMBC has organized an agriculture-based summit, and was the first time an event of its kind had been held for the agriculture industry in Michigan.

On February 6th, 2014 Pure Michigan Business Connect partnered with procurement agents from KUKA, Boeing and Leibherr to host the Pure Michigan Small Business Summit. Held at the GM Heritage Center in Sterling Heights, MI, the event showcased the capacity of Michigan manufacturers to meet the diverse supply and service demands of the aerospace and automotive industries.

The Pure Michigan Business Connect hosted Chrysler and 10 of their Tier 1 partners to participate as buyers in Chrysler Connect 2013, and event that highlighted the willingness of Chrysler and other automobile powerhouses to find qualified Michigan companies to fill their toughest open procurement needs.

Pure Michigan Business Connect hosted Consumers Energy, Henkels & McCoy and Moran Iron Works as part of the Consumers Energy Supplier Summit at Treetops Resort in Gaylord, Michigan on October 21st 2013. Since the inception of the PMBC program, Consumers Energy has been a very active partner and has increased its commitment to the program on multiple occasions.

Pure Michigan Business Connect partnered with Michigan Minority Supplier Development Council to host the West Michigan Supplier Summit at the Amway Grand in Grand Rapids on October 17th 2013. The event focused on the importance of increasing contract opportunities for minority-owned businesses in western Michigan.

PMBC hosted BAE Systems and General Dynamics Land Systems as part of the 2013 National Defense Industrial Association's (NDIA) Michigan Defense Expo held at Warren Community College on May 5th 2013. A total of 219 Michigan companies applied to discuss their capabilities to meet a diverse set of buyer needs.
The Ford Motor Company, along with 30 of its Tier 1’s, were hosted by the Pure Michigan Business Connect to participate as buyers in a matchmaking summit held at the Ford Conference and Event Center in Dearborn in 2013. A total of 42 buyers were in attendance for this summit - including Blue Cross Blue Shield, BOSCH, Continental, Siemens, and Walbridge - that scheduled over 550 meetings throughout the day with 317 qualified Michigan supplier companies.
PMBC hosted the Timken Company as part of Timken Connection Point at Detroit Regional Chamber in June 2013.

Pure Michigan Business Connect (PMBC) hosted Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan (BCBSM) for the Blue Cross Blue Shield Procurement Summit on July 11th, 2013 at their headquarters in Detroit Michigan. This event was the first time the PMBC team had applied its procurement matchmaking model, until then used only to connect companies in need of traditional manufacturing, to the service-oriented healthcare sector.
